Most of us have known about “The Golden Rule” since we were children. And most of us agree that it is a very good rule — that we should do unto others as we would have them do unto us. Often, we tell ourselves that is exactly how we conduct our affairs, and the “problem” is with what everyone else is doing.
But, is it? And why does it really matter?
If we want others to always treat us with kindness and courtesy, are we careful to always be kind and courteous ourselves? If we want others to love and cherish us, are we opening up our hearts and giving away our love freely?
